FAQ
Questions we get asked
The short answers, for people searching and for the owners behind the listings.
Searching the directory and asking a business anything is free. There is nothing to sign up for. Claiming your listing is free too, and free is the only plan on sale today. The paid tiers, for owners who want the assistant on their own site and more sources behind it, are still being built. See the plans →
It reads what the business already publishes: today that means its website, plus the opening hours and details on its listing. Answers come from those sources rather than from general knowledge, and the owner can change the website it reads whenever they like. Menu and price-list uploads are coming with launch.
Find your business in the directory, open its page and choose to claim it. Filling the form in takes a few minutes; after that a person here checks the claim by hand, usually within two working days. You will see it as “In review” on your dashboard until then. Claim your listing →
It says so plainly instead of guessing, rather than inventing something. When that happens, the business’s phone number and website are on the same page. That is the quickest way to a person. For an owner, those unanswered questions are the useful part: they show what people keep asking that your listing doesn’t cover yet, and they are listed on your dashboard.
If the listing is yours, fix the source it read from and the answer changes with it. Hours, a menu item, a closed Monday. If it isn’t yours, tell the business directly using the phone number or website on its page, and they can correct the source. If it is something we have got wrong rather than them, get in touch.
You print one and stick it on the door, the counter, or a bag. Anyone who scans it lands on your listing and can ask your assistant a question: hours, parking, what to order.
The part that matters is what happens after it is printed. A code already on a thousand bags can be pointed somewhere new without reprinting a single bag. Every scan is counted, and one code can send iPhone and Android to different places, or point somewhere different by time of day. There is a printable window sign laid out for you.
Codes come with Growth. Anything you have already printed keeps working, and keeps counting scans, even if you stop paying.
